ESTV is unique but what you see today is only the tip of the iceberg. Over the next 12 months we will add more features including some that will allow our readers to be more involved in the production of content.

ESTV is part local newspaper, part local TV and part Internet web site. In fact it includes the best features of all three.

These days there are more web sites producing global news with video or using audio podcasts on the Internet than there are producing local news which is now the poor cousin.

Local newspapers have traditionally been the major platform for local promotion but these days they only make limited space available to write about local news or to publish press releases or the activities of all the local groups in the area.

At ESTV we welcome your Press Releases, articles and comments ion stories. We hope this becomes the community town square meeting place and with the help of MaMyDa we will also help you meet real people to share your hobbies, likes and interests such as walking or going to the movies. At MaMyDa you will be able to find a buddy or ten to meet up and enjoy your shared interests.

If you are a blogger we want to hear from you too. Bloggers write about their experiences such as the Iranian blogger who kept the world informed about life in Iran during the last Gulf war, the funny thing was his and other blogger reports coming out of the area were often more interesting and informative than the regular news articles the media were producing.

Like all good ideas ESTV was conceived by a few people but we hope it is destined to be adopted by the whole community. If you want to make it work we invite you to become involved and make it the best community channel in the world.
